How often should you Change your Pad during Periods?

The flow during your period varies from day to day, and you will have heavy flow days and lighter days. Because of this, there is no set frequency of changing sanitary pads, but if you are unsure about it, letโ€™s try to clear things up.

During the first few days of your period, you may notice that you have to change your pad every couple of hours. This is entirely normal as the flow is the heaviest on the first days, and it gradually gets lighter towards the end of the period.

You can get away with changing your pads 2-3 times a day in the last few days, but donโ€™t wear the same sanitary pad for more than 8 hours. Most experts suggest that you change your pad every 8 hours because keeping it on for longer puts you at risk of infection and itching.
